8 Best Platforms for AI Agent Integration with ERP Systems (2026)

Tuesday, 4:40 p.m. A supplier invoice fails three-way match. The goods receipt says 480 units, the invoice says 500, and the reason sits in an email where the warehouse accepted a short shipment. The ERP agent sees the purchase order perfectly, and has no idea why the numbers disagree.

The best platforms for AI agent integration with ERP systems give agents governed read and write access to ERP records, respect the ERP’s own role-based security, and reach the other systems a process crosses. Below are eight, grouped by how they get into the ERP, and where each one stops.

Pick fast

  • Lyzr Studio: prebuilt and custom agents, chained into workflows across several ERPs and the email, P2P and contract tools around them. Best when exceptions cross systems.
  • SAP Joule Studio: SAP’s cloud suite, with packaged agents for finance, spend and supply chain.
  • Oracle AI Agent Studio: Oracle Fusion Cloud, at no extra cost.
  • Copilot Studio + Dynamics 365 ERP MCP server: Dynamics 365 shops already living in Microsoft 365.
  • NetSuite AI Connector Service: NetSuite teams bringing their own AI assistant.
  • Boomi or Workato: your iPaaS already holds the ERP connections, so agents reuse them.
  • UiPath: ERP screens with no usable API, alongside an existing RPA program.

Three ways an agent gets into your ERP

Three ways an AI agent gets into an ERP system: inside the vendor suite, through the integration layer, or through the screen
8 Best Platforms for AI Agent Integration with ERP Systems (2026)  6

Every platform here takes one of three routes. Inside the suite: the ERP vendor builds the studio, and agents inherit the ERP’s security model. Microsoft and NetSuite also publish MCP servers so outside agents can call in. Through the integration layer: iPaaS vendors turn existing connectors into tools agents can call. Through the screen: robots click through transactions like a clerk.

Our view: the vendor’s studio is the right default when one ERP holds nearly the whole process. Most processes don’t stay put. Procure-to-pay touches the ERP, a P2P suite, supplier email and a contract repository, and an agent confined to one of them becomes a well-informed bystander.

Gartner expects spend on ERP software with agentic capabilities to reach $72 billion by 2030, a 74.6% five-year CAGR. It is also blunt about the catch: in Predicts 2026: The Future of ERP, it says over 70% of acquired ERP AI capabilities will become shelfware by 2030, and only 30% of organizations will have data good enough for advanced AI by 2027. Buying agents is easy. Getting one workflow to close is the job.

What we checked

Criterion What we checked Why it matters
Multi-ERP reach Can agents read and write in more than one ERP Most companies run several
Prebuilt agents Ready agents for finance, procurement or supply chain Faster first value
Building Low-code tools for your own agents Business teams own the process logic
Cross-system work Can one workflow span ERP, email and CLM That’s where exceptions get resolved
Action control Can you limit what each agent may do Auditors ask who approved the posting
Deployment Vendor cloud, your VPC, on-prem Finance data has residency rules

Based on public documentation, October 2026. Lyzr makes one product here, and we say where another fits better.

Best platforms for AI agent integration with ERP Systems compared

1. Lyzr Studio: agents that work across ERPs, not inside one

Most platforms below excel inside their own walls. Lyzr Studio is built for the work between them. Agents connect to ERPs through the MCP library, which accepts the MCP servers ERP vendors now publish, or through custom OpenAPI tools for internal and older ERP APIs. You choose which of a server’s actions each agent may use, so an AP agent can be limited to reading invoices, with no access to payment actions. With contracts in a knowledge base, it can explain a price variance, not just flag it.

Lyzr also ships prebuilt agents: the Procurement Agentic OS sits above SAP, Oracle, Coupa and Ariba as a coordination layer rather than replacing them. Studio runs as SaaS, in your VPC or on-premises, with Responsible AI guardrails built into its agent framework.

Pick it if a process crosses two ERPs, or one ERP plus P2P, CLM and email.

Skip it if one ERP holds the whole process and its vendor’s studio already has the agent you need.

2. SAP Joule Studio and Joule Agents

At Sapphire in May 2026, SAP announced 224 agents and 51 Joule Assistants across finance, spend, supply chain, HR and CX, and made Joule Studio, its builder for custom agents and workflows, generally available. An AI Agent Hub is meant to govern SAP and non-SAP agents together.

The pitch is depth. Joule agents read SAP’s process and master data directly, so a finance agent knows what a posting period or a vendor block means. SAP named Anthropic’s Claude as a primary reasoning model behind Joule agents and set up a €100 million fund for partners building on its AI platform.

Best for: SAP cloud customers wanting packaged agents with SAP context.

Watch out for: Joule agents are designed for the cloud, and ECC or on-prem access increasingly comes tied to a migration commitment.

3. Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications

Launched in March 2025 at no extra cost, it gives agents native access to Fusion objects and APIs under Fusion’s role-based access controls. March 2026 added an Agentic Applications Builder that combines Oracle, partner and external agents.

Oracle had already embedded more than 50 agents across Fusion before the studio opened. In February 2026 it added supply chain agents for planning, component replacement, inventory and logistics. An October 2025 marketplace lets partners publish agent templates customers can install directly.

Best for: Fusion Cloud ERP, SCM and HCM customers.

Watch out for: it’s built for Fusion, so E-Business Suite or JD Edwards teams should confirm coverage.

4. Microsoft Copilot Studio with the Dynamics 365 ERP MCP server

The ERP MCP server debuted at Build 2025 with 13 fixed tools, then went dynamic: the agent opens forms, sets fields and runs actions through server APIs, as a person would. By September 2026 it was generally available.

Agents reaching Dynamics 365 through the server must authenticate as a valid Dynamics 365 user, so Entra ID and existing security roles decide what each one can touch. Microsoft has also introduced a separate ERP MCP server for analytics, giving agents governed access to Business Performance Analytics data.

Best for: Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain shops.

Watch out for: agent-specific access controls are still on the roadmap, so agents ride on existing security roles for now.

5. NetSuite AI Connector Service

NetSuite’s bring-your-own-AI route, announced in 2025 and expanded at SuiteWorld in October 2025. With the MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp, an outside agent can run read-only SuiteQL queries, saved searches and reports, and create or update records within the connected role’s permissions.

Tools only appear when the connected NetSuite role allows them, so an agent signed in as an AP clerk can’t see what a controller can. Developers can go further with custom MCP tools and the SuiteCloud MCP Server, and partners can package what they build as SuiteApps.

Best for: NetSuite customers bringing Claude, ChatGPT or their own agent platform.

Watch out for: an administrator has to install and configure it, and it covers NetSuite only.

6. Boomi Agentstudio

Boomi’s agent builder sits on an iPaaS many companies already use for ERP integration. May 2026 brought an MCP Registry and AI Gateway, and Boomi says Boomi Connect offers 1,000+ MCP-compatible connectors and tools, including a NetSuite MCP proxy.

Agentstudio’s Control Tower catalogs agents built elsewhere, including Amazon Bedrock, Snowflake Cortex and Claude Managed Agents, next to Boomi’s own. Boomi’s 2026 roadmap adds deploying agents to customer-hosted runtimes and choosing customer-hosted models, for finance data that can’t leave your network.

Best for: teams whose ERP integrations already run on Boomi.

Watch out for: the Lunar.dev gateway deal was a letter of intent when announced, so confirm what has shipped.

7. Workato Enterprise MCP

Workato turns existing recipes, integrations and APIs into governed skills any LLM-based agent can call, with SSO, role-based access and audit trails on its prebuilt MCP servers. A January 2026 release added an Oracle E-Business Suite connector.

The same release let Workato Genies, its prebuilt agents, act as MCP clients for outside MCP servers, and let enterprise customers run them on their own pre-approved AI models. Workato says half of the Fortune 500 already use its platform.

Best for: companies with years of Workato recipes around their ERP.

Watch out for: the agent is only as good as the recipes underneath it.

8. UiPath Maestro

UiPath coordinates agents, robots and people in one process. Deloitte’s Agentic ERP offering (March 2026) runs on UiPath Agent Builder and Maestro across record-to-report, source-to-pay, lead-to-cash and master data. Robots work through the UI where no API exists.

UiPath tested the approach on itself first, moving its own ERP to SAP S/4HANA with Deloitte in 2025. In 2026 it also brought agentic AI to Automation Suite, its self-hosted platform, so agents can run on-premises with their own models.

Best for: large SAP estates, older ones included, with an existing RPA program.

Watch out for: screen-driven steps break when screens change, so keep them to the gaps APIs can’t cover.

ERP vendors lead on packaged agents for their own suite. Integration platforms lead on reach. Lyzr Studio and Workato cover both, and Lyzr Studio is the only one of the two that also runs inside your own environment. Where it trails: legacy screens with no API are still UiPath territory, and deep pre-existing connector libraries favor the iPaaS vendors.

Test it on your own ERP before you sign

Demo tenants are tidy. Yours isn’t. Run four tests on your data:

  1. The write test. Ask the agent to create or correct a sandbox record, not answer a question about one.
  2. The permission test. Connect it with an AP clerk’s role and ask it to release a payment. It should fail, and the failure should be logged.
  3. The exception test. Give it the opening invoice, explanation buried in email. Does it resolve or route the case with evidence attached?
  4. The oldest-instance test. Point it at your oldest ERP instance, not the vendor’s newest demo.

Here’s how that exception closes as a workflow instead of one ERP’s agent. A P2P agent from Lyzr’s prebuilt procurement agents picks up the failed match. A custom agent built in Lyzr Studio, with read access to the shared inbox and the contract repository, finds the short-shipment note and the tolerance clause. The workflow sends that evidence to the buyer for approval, then posts the corrected invoice through the ERP connection with the sign-off attached. Nobody re-keys anything, or has to remember the email existed.

That’s the pattern for most ERP automation worth doing:

  • Start from a prebuilt agent for the part of the process every company shares.
  • Build a custom agent in Lyzr Studio for the steps only your company has.
  • Chain them into a workflow with orchestration, keeping a person on every step where money moves.

FAQs

For one ERP, start with the vendor’s route: SAP Joule Studio, Oracle AI Agent Studio, Copilot Studio with the Dynamics 365 ERP MCP server, or NetSuite’s AI Connector Service. For processes spanning several systems, look at Lyzr Studio, Boomi, Workato or UiPath.

Yes, within limits. The Dynamics 365 ERP MCP server lets agents fill forms and run actions, NetSuite’s connector creates and updates records, and SAP and Oracle agents act natively. The agent should only get the permissions of the role it runs under.

Sometimes. SAP’s newest agents are cloud-first, so ECC customers usually reach them through a migration path. Older or on-prem systems connect through integration platforms, custom APIs or RPA robots.

An ERP MCP server exposes ERP data and actions as tools that AI agents can call through the Model Context Protocol, under the ERP’s own permissions. Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 ERP MCP server and NetSuite’s AI Connector Service are two examples. Agents built in Copilot Studio, Lyzr Studio or Claude can connect to them.
